WHERE PEOPLE ARE WORTH
MORE THAN MONEY
POLICY CHANGE
WACOPSE FCU offers
free duplicate checks to members who have their pension, retirement, or social
security directly deposited to their accounts.
This will continue, however, the style of checks we are offering at no
charge will be limited to Guardian Safety checks in blue, green, or
yellow. In addition, we will only be
able to order one box of checks at a time.
If you choose to order a different style of check, you will be
responsible for paying the difference in cost.
We will be able to tell you what your cost will be at the time you
reorder. That amount will be deducted
from your share draft account when the checks are shipped. This policy will be effective the next time
you reorder. If you have any questions,
please call us at (814) 723-8730.

GAP INSURANCE
Did you know you
could lose more than just your vehicle if it is stolen or involved in a major
accident? That is why WACOPSE offers
Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) Insurance.
GAP protects your investment because it pays the difference between your
vehicle insurance company’s settlement and the remaining loan amount (directly
related to the vehicle purchase), up to the maximums allowed by the credit
union and /or state, in the event your vehicle is stolen or damaged beyond
repair.
For example, if the
value of your vehicle is $15,000.00 when it is stolen or totaled, but you still
owe $18,000.00, GAP makes up the difference and pays off your loan. Without GAP, you would be responsible for
that amount.
We recommend that
you add GAP insurance when getting a vehicle loan from WACOPSE FCU. If you have questions when the loan officer
is offering you the insurance, please be sure to ask.
HOME BANKING
Home banking is an
easy way for you to view your accounts online.
Recently, there was an update requiring additional security
measures. This was done as the result of
a Federal audit and was added for additional online security. We apologize for any inconvenience it may
have caused. However, your online security is our priority. If you need help with our online system, do
not hesitate to call or stop in our office.
Also, please keep in mind that each day at the
close of business our home banking service is temporarily unavailable as we do
our end of day procedure in the office.
This time varies with the time we close each day. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday the system is
unavailable approximately from 4:30pm – 5:30pm, Wednesday from approximately
1:00pm - 2:30pm, and Friday from approximately 6:00pm – 7:00pm.
WE ARE HERE TO HELP YOU
The
WACOPSE FCU loan department would like to offer some advice before you make that
auto deal. We receive many Monday
morning calls for a lower rate on vehicle loans that were financed over the
weekend with another lender. We can
accommodate the low rate and we have refinanced numerous loans and saved
members hard-earned money. However,
lately it seems like used car prices are starting over book (NADA) price and
unfortunately, in some cases the car has been sold for more than its
value. When this happens, we are unable
to refinance at our lower rate.
WACOPSE
is happy to pre-approve members for a specific dollar amount. You will feel more comfortable shopping for a
vehicle in your approved price range, knowing you will not be spending over
your budgeted amount. If you have a
vehicle you are interested in purchasing, give us a call and we will check the
value for you. We are here to help you,
and knowledge is your power to make smart decisions.
2010 JAMES E.

LOAN PAYMENTS
Many members who have a
loan at WACOPSE have automatic loan payments.
The loan is automatically paid each time the members’ payroll is
directly deposited. The loan might also be paid with payroll deduction. Payroll deduction means a portion of the
member’s payroll is sent to the credit union and applied to the member’s loan
automatically.
It is very important to remember
that if you do not receive your pay, you are responsible for making the loan
payment. When payroll is not posted to
your account, our system will not take money to make the payment, even if you
have sufficient funds to do so.
On
the other hand, if your payroll is directly deposited and you are receiving two
(2) pays on the same day you will need to let us know, or two (2) payments will
be applied. Our system knows when it
receives your pay it is supposed to transfer money to your loan. This does not apply if you have payroll
deduction.
If
you have any questions about your loan payment, please contact us at (814)
723-8730.
GO GREEN
You can do something
little to make a big difference. If you
already use online home banking, you can receive an E-Statement instead of a
paper statement. You can retrieve your
E-Statement by logging into home banking.
There will be a “Statements” tab at the top of the page and all the
statements available to you will be listed. Another advantage is that
E-Statements are available to you much quicker than paper statements.
Also, consider our electronic bill pay
service. With a few clicks, all of your
bills will be paid without writing a single check. To view a “Demo Version” of this timesaving
service, visit our website at www.wacopse.com.
Most payees accept electronic payments, therefore, you are not only
saving time, you save paper too.
There is an application for both of these services
and there is a $5.00 per month fee for bill payer.

FYI
1.
When given the choice, using your VISA debit card
as “credit” will save you money on fees.
The money is still deducted from your share draft account as if you used
the “debit” option. If the “credit”
option does not appear on the screen, press cancel or tell the cashier you
would like to run your transaction as “credit”.
Our policy allows you four (4) PIN- based uses per
month free. After four (4) uses, you
will be charged $1.25 per PIN-based transaction. Choose “credit” and save!
2.
All rolled coin brought into the credit union must
be labeled with your name and/or account number. We verify coin rolls prior to using them;
therefore, you may see a coin adjustment to/from your account.
3.
Using a deposit slip is required when depositing or
receiving cash back, and helps us insure your funds are posted to the intended
account.
4.
We offer several services to make your banking
needs more convenient. Available free
of charge is CUOL (Credit Union On-Line) and the Voice Response Unit. Our online home banking service allows you to
view your accounts 24 hours per day. You
can also make transfers, loan payments, and withdrawals. The Voice Response Unit is an automated
teller that allows the same services.
DRIVE UP REMINDER
The drive-up is for faster, more convenient
service. In order to make this service
work efficiently we ask that members only transact: check cashing; cash withdrawals; deposits
containing a maximum of 5 checks; transfers; loan payments; VISA payments; no
more than 3 transactions per drive-up visit and NO ROLLED COIN. Please try to have your deposit slip ready before
you get to the window and always check your receipts and cash back before
leaving the drive-up or lobby teller window.
STUDENT LOAN PROGRAM
WACOPSE FCU’s Student Loan
Program, TEAMS, will end as of July 1, 2010 due to legislation that was
recently passed. The signed bill grants
the Federal Insured Student Loan Program to be taken over by the Federal
Government. At this time, we will not be
offering a Private Student Loan Option.
